back to school for my last ‘term 3′ ever

July 16th, 2007 | Category: Blog, Holidays, School, VCE

Well tomorrow begins what will become my last term 3 ever. There are some key events during this term that will be a milestone like the last musical. It is only recently that I have seriously begun to think about next year and what I plan to do, I mean I have thought about it before but it has always been something that I could say “well I’ll think about that when I get to it” but now it’s getting closer and I can no longer put it off. This term I will be making some serious concrete decisions about my courses for next year. This is where it gets difficult as I am yet to truly decide which path to take (I have left my options open for both). I can go down the IT path or I can go down the ‘Arts’ path with the latter leading on to other career options in journalism, international studies etc. I also have to decide whether I will stay at home or move into my own place, unfortunately if I want to move out I need money which I sorta have sitting there but I need time to access it cause its all locked up in various term deposits etc (hence why I need to make a decision now). So over the next two weeks I will be making these crucial decisions that could well impact on the rest of my life (yes dramatic isn’t it!), anyway it’s getting late and unfortunately I still have stuff to do before I retire for the night. PS. This is probably the most personal post I’ve ever made, I feel like a myspace emo.

a long time ago, in a campus far far away

May 03rd, 2007 | Category: Aikman Hall, Blog, Connex, Drama, Friends, School, Technical, VCE

I have been stupidly busy the last week, without even a moment to myself and unfortunately this won’t change for the next couple of weeks. I did however manage to dig up a photo of the Kindergarten class of 1994, which in case you didn’t know is the year the current year 12’s were in kindergarten. Anyway I now have a photo of Luke when he was like 4, as well as some other year 12’s which is pretty funny. I would post it however I would get in a lot of trouble from the school for doing so, so if you want a copy and go to Haileybury I can send it to you via school email. If you don’t go to (or work at) Haileybury then I can’t help you.

The Year 12 magazine has been coming along nicely, and we should actually start putting the content on pages soon. Also in between all this I managed to get a SAC done, and have multiple coming up fast, as well as speeches at each precinct, and literally hundreds of meetings and countless luncheons. Also apparently the play went well last night, and is coming along well tonight (I was just talking to a crew member on MSN). So well done to you guys. And finally I’m beginning to become cynical of Connex like Pant, you see this morning I was stuck at Hughesdale station for 90 minutes while a train was derailed on one of  four tracks at Oakleigh. During this time no alternative arrangements were made in regards to buses, no announcements, no nothing, just an increasingly full platform.

the dreaded results

December 11th, 2006 | Category: School, VCE

Well today was the big day, with VCE students receiving their results. I must say I was very suprised with my VET IT mark, but a little disappointed with my International Studies mark (it wasn’t a suprise however). Here are my results;

IN12 - Information Technology (Software Apps)
GA 1: A+
GA 2: A
GA 3:
Study Score : 40

ISO3 - International Studies
GA 1: A
GA 2: B
GA 3: B
Study Score: 32

So as you can see, I was shocked with my VET IT marks, and a little disappointed with International Studies. Now its on to Year 12.

exam preparation

November 12th, 2006 | Category: Home, School, VCE

I’ve spent most of today preparing for VET IT 3 & 4 exam. I’ve done three practice exams, plus some multi-choice and some reading so I’m fairly confident. Anyway my exam is tomorrow at 9am, and then my International Studies exam is on Wednesday, that one I’m a little more worried about. My aim this year is to get over 35 in both my subjects, so hopefully I can do that without to much of a problem.
