my new iphone
Since my phone contract was coming to and end, and the cheap interim phone I bought after my last one died was also starting to die I took the plunge and purchased a brand new iPhone. I must say it is an awesome phone, and is extremely easy to use. I ended up getting a 16GB Black for those who are wondering and I was actually amazed I could get my hands on one due to many people still waiting for theirs after stock ran out in July.
I’m also pleased to say that I haven’t been getting any of the reception problems that many people have been complaining about (I’m on Optus).
In other news I have been working, going to uni and working which has led to the lack of updates on my blog. But now things should be quietening down (well at work anyway, not at uni) so I shall hopefully have more time to spend on here!
Also the Haileybury Tattoo is over, it was a pretty good show but I still miss the old days where there was actual entertainment and not just lots of little kids on stage.
No commentsliterally a pile of paperwork
It never surprises me how much paperwork is required to get things done at our school. Basically to get this Year 12 magazine done, I’m going to require around 400 pieces of paperwork, from 4 precincts, and in over 5 departments. Why do you ask? well simply because it seems we need everyones approval before we even put pen to paper.
I’ve finished sending most of the emails I needed to and have now decided to update my blog in order to get rid of those pesky people that follow me around asking me to update my blog, Well anyway on Saturday night apparently the whole Optus mobile network went down in inner Melbourne, which explained the unusual “can I borrow your phone” requests from strangers. But that was back up early Sunday morning, and no doubt many people’s Saturday night plans had gone astray due to the outage. I have gotten even more frustrated with Telstra, and spent most of today figuring out exactly how we are going to pay for everything we want. Anyway I have nothing else to report, except for the fact that channel Ten have taken like an hour and a half of TV away from me and replaced it with this stupid show full of idiots in a house. Well at least I have my Lateshow with Letterman, oh wait…no I don’t cause they moved that to an hour in order to make room for bimbo’s in a house.
2 commentssome great news and a very hectic two days
Well it’s been a very hectic two days, for my non Victorian, non-Australian readers the temperature has barely got below 35 Degrees (C) in the past two days and only this afternoon has it dipped below thirty. These two days of hot weather have been accompanied by power blackouts, caused by a bushfire in the north east of the state taking out a major transmission line between Victorian and New South Wales. Luckily we were only partially affected by this brownout and lost power for about an hour.
In other news, my Auntie gave birth to a baby girl yesterday, the babies name is Elizabeth Rainsford. I was planning to visit them on Friday however I have been called into work so I will probably have to go next week or on the weekend.
I’m also still waiting for a phone call from Optus, whom were meant to ring me back within 24 hours, however as long as the problem gets fixed I’m not too fussed about the phone call.
1 commentoptus finally see the light
For those of you that are Optus customers, you would know and agree with me that their Optus Zoo sucks. Well today I found out something that has almost convinced me to stay with Optus as a mobile phone carrier, it’s called myZoo. It’s still in the beta stage, but I was made aware of it by an Optus technician whom I was on the phone to for about an hour today trying to fix yet another Optus Zoo related problem.
It looks pretty good, however the mobile account parts (the current Optus Zoo) are not available yet (the links redirect you to the old Optus Zoo). It is a lot like the Ninemsn homepage in terms of the customizable content etc, however Optus have added there own little flair to it. Heres a link to it so you can check it out for yourself http://www.beta.optuszoo.com.au/
