indiana jones comes back to our screens
On Friday night, James, Nick, Luke, Christiaan and myself went to Southland to watch the new Indiana Jones film. Naturally I was a little disappointed with the movie as it really lacked that Indiana Jones feel to it. It just seemed to me that they filmed a movie and suddenly at the last minute decided to call it Indiana Jones. I also thought the storyline was just a tad bit more far fetched than the first ones (admittedly they weren’t exactly a reality series but this movie is definitely more ‘out there’). Overall though I wasn’t as disappointed as I thought I would be so thats certainly a bonus.
In other news I have had work everyday since Friday which has just been a whole lot of fun. But it least it gives me money to spend ![]()
new tv
Since our old rear projection TV just wasn’t cutting it anymore, my parents decided to buy a brand new Sony Bravia 46″ LCD TV. Now I must say it is an absolutely awesome TV, and it was had for a bargain price (thank you Woolworth’s’ staff sale). Due to me being a Woolworths staff member we were able to save about $500 off the lowest price around, which worked out to be about $700 the normal price and over $1200 of the Sony RRP. This was all thanks to a staff sale at Dick Smith on Thursday.
In other news I saw the Haileybury play which was pretty good, the venue officer did a fantastic job with the whole venue thing
and the actors were certainly on or a little bit above average, so overall yet another good production from Haileybury. So thats about all thats happened in my life since the last post, work hasn’t been any different than usual and nothing particularly exciting has happened apart from that.
changing banks
As some of you already know, my current bank the ANZ has increasingly frustrated me through poor service, high fees and lack of ATM’s in the places I go most often. So after looking at all the ‘Big 4′ banks (NAB, Commonwealth, ANZ and Westpac) I decided to go with Citibank (which is one of the largest banks in the world). Pretty much it came down to Bendigo Bank and Citibank, but since I couldn’t make sense of Bendigo Banks fees I opted for Citibank which offers me unlimited withdrawals from any ATM in Australia for $5 per month which means I wont be hit with those stupid fees for using non-ANZ ATM’s anymore I also get all the usual stuff like Visa Debit Card etc (something the ANZ requires a separate account for which costs an extra $6 a month).
In other news I have been having car troubles yet again today, which meant I didn’t go to uni or work hence I actually get a night off.
